Eyes of Elisha

You’re thinking an awful lot about what I said when I mentioned praying for the eyes of Elisha. You’re forming a conviction about praying in that direction. Let’s talk about that.
Elisha prayed a really BOLD prayer when he prayed for a double portion. The prophet Elijah, his mentor whose shoes he would end up filling, saw some pretty incredible miracles. Read the story again. To do or see half of what Elijah did and saw would have been a lot - but that was not good enough for Elisha.
Before you pray for the eyes of Elisha, keep in mind that Elisha was one of My prophets. My prophets speak many times of things that no one else sees, and that can bring intense persecution and judgment.
Prophet is an office, one of the fivefold ministers; pastor, apostle, evangelist, teacher, and prophet. You know I have called you to teach. You are becoming more aware of all of the times you have exercised the gift of prophecy and are wrestling with what that means. You need to keep wrestling until you have conviction.
Jesus Christ IS the spirit of prophecy, and Scripture is all prophecy as it points, from cover to cover, to Jesus the Savior. Everyone who calls on the Name of Jesus Christ as LORD and Savior has the spirit of prophecy in them - but not everyone is called to be a prophet.
To be a prophet is an incredible responsibility that carries an intense amount of weight. Let’s compare it to the President of the United States. To ask for the eyes of Elisha simply for the ability to see in the spirit that the angel armies outnumber the enemy is like asking to be the President of the United States so you can live in the White House and fly on Air Force One.
You can’t expect the privilege of living in the White House and flying on Air Force One without also taking on all of the intense responsibility of that position. Doctor Michael Roizen was quoted saying that a president ages two years for every one year they hold that office.
Imagine having the entire country either for you or against you. Imagine having the power and solemn duty of deciding whether or not a country would go to war. Imagine being the representative for an entire nation and the weight that would carry.
Not many are called to be prophets, and the spiritual weight of that position is similar. People are almost universally opposed to being called to live holy lives set apart for the kingdom of God, and churches are terrified to speak of coming judgment for fear of losing status in their communities and congregations.
Prophets must stand in firm conviction of My words because they see something almost no one else can see; but, just like when I opened the eyes of Elisha’s servant, the truth is the same whether they can see it or not.
Be careful what you ask for. If you sincerely desire the eyes of Elisha, I will give you what you are asking, but once I open your eyes, they will be open and you cannot turn back.
For months now, you have been discovering the battle plan of the enemy and how to deal with the devil. As you have discovered that the only power he has is the power of suggestion, being afraid of him has become almost laughable to you. I’m glad you understand how little power he possesses; but you need to understand what he is able to do with that power in the presence of ignorance.
People who are ignorant of My Truth are incredibly impressionable. They act on his suggestion without thinking of the source. Wars have been started when impressionable people, ignorant of My Truth, have acted on the enemy’s suggestion.
The devil himself has no power to hurt anyone; but, at his suggestion, hurting people are hurting people left and right. Scared people are scaring people left and right.
The biggest threat in the world is hurting and scared people - because they become agents for the kingdom of darkness.
If I give you the eyes of Elisha, you will have an incredible boldness and authority, because you can’t see who is for you and remain afraid of who stands in opposition. But if I give you the eyes of Elisha, a natural consequence will be a broken heart. Your heart will be grieved for the things that grieve Mine. Warm tap water will burn your hand because your sensitivity will be so elevated.
I am not trying to scare you and I don’t want to discourage any of My children from walking in the gifting that is available to them. But I need you to be very sober-minded before accepting My calling to any office of the fivefold ministry.
One of the biggest threats to the Kingdom of Heaven is not the fallen angels but those who fall from an office. The spirits of pride, deceit, greed, and perversion are the most commonly employed weapons the enemy uses against My officers. As an officer, these spirits need to be watched for and cast down daily and, in their place, the spirits of humility, generosity, and purity must be put on more than daily - moment by moment.
I think that’s enough for you to consider for now. You have the gift of prophecy. All of My children do and I expect you all to exercise it. About the office of prophet… let’s keep the conversation going.
I encourage you to study the subject. Don’t be like the kid who wants to be the President just so he can live in the White House.
