The Enemy’s Target Practice
FOR WHATEVER IS BORN OF GOD OVERCOMES THE WORLD. AND THIS IS THE VICTORY THAT HAS OVERCOME THE WORLD - OUR FAITH. WHO IS HE WHO OVERCOMES THE WORLD, BUT HE WHO BELIEVES THAT JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD?
1 John 5:4-5
Baby Girl,
We’ve GOT to talk and by that, I mean I’ve got some things to say and I need you to sit up straight and listen. Last time we talked, I warned you that they were coming. I cautioned you to remain standing and to leave all the armor I gave you firmly in place. Ephesians 6:10-18 You took My Words lightly, laid your armor aside, and became target practice for our adversary.
You became self-willed, self-led, and the consequences you’ve been experiencing have been self-induced. You allowed the spirits of rebellion and defeat to overtake you amongst others and in your sin, you once again became a slave of sin. John 8:34
It’s been hard to watch and I’ve been wondering how long it would take you to turn back to My Spirit to lead you. It took much longer than it should have. You are unskilled but, if you persevere through training, you will gain skill and experience victory more quickly. Every word in that Bible of yours I breathed into existence. It is for your instruction, correction, and training in righteousness. 2 Timothy 3:16
I have repeatedly cautioned you to be alert and sober-minded because our enemy the devil prowls around like a ROARING lion looking for someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8 He HATES you. When he comes around, it is only to steal, kill, and destroy. John 10:10
Resist him and stand firm in your faith! 1 Peter 5:9 AFTER you resist him, BE STILL, Child, and KNOW that I am GOD. Psalm 46:10 I am the Author and Perfecter of your faith. Hebrews 12:2 Consider My Son, who first endured such opposition so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. Hebrews 12:3 As surely as I equipped Him with My Spirit, I have equipped you.
I may have failed to mention a couple things last time we talked. First of all, the devil has NO actual power to hurt you. When you submit yourself to Me, all you have to do is resist him and he WILL flee from you. James 4:7 It’s that simple but as you know, what is simple is not always easy. If you choose to do now what is easy, your life WILL be hard. If you choose what feels hard now in the moment, your life will not only be easy but peaceful and joyful! My yoke is easy, and My burden is light. Matthew 11:30 The most challenging part for my kids is so simple - take off your yoke and trade it for Mine.
Endure this hardship and think of it as discipline. Learn to submit to My will and you WILL have an abundant, fruitful life. I am disciplining you for your good so that you can share in My holiness. No discipline seems pleasant in the moment, but painful; however, hang in there, Child. This training will produce a harvest of righteousness and peace when you’ve been trained by it.
Strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees. I can’t do that for you and if you don’t, you are easy prey. Hebrews 11:7-13
