Stiff Worship
- AT A LADIES CONFERENCE IN TENNESSEE -
Baby Girl,
You came all this way to be in the presence of a more demonstrative form of worship in the company of those who you assume carry My Spirit with more power. You think just because they shout louder, sing with passion, or cry harder than you that they know something you don’t know?
What you don’t know is the heart and souls of those women who look so holy. You don’t know what they’re doing when they go home. You don’t know about the hidden recesses of their hearts. You aren’t aware of the “secret sins” THEY THINK they’re getting away with. You don’t know if I approve of their worship. You came all this way to learn from them how to not “be stiff” in your worship. Who told you that your worship is stiff? Have you asked ME if I approve of your worship?
Who are you to judge for better or worse an atmosphere or a people for HOW they worship Me? I inhabit the praise of My people wherever they are, whatever words they use, whether their hands are up or down, whether their eyes are opened or closed.
Why are you looking around? I am NOT around, I am within. Your worship is not a corporate exercise whether you are alone or among 10,000. Your worship is between YOU and Me. The worship of the woman next to you is between her and Me.
Keep in mind that I am not “falling” in any one place “heavier” than any other. In fact, I’m not falling at all - I’m flowing! I am a deep well within you and I am a flowing river coming through you into the atmosphere. YOU bring the atmosphere because you bring ME. Have you forgotten that the ground YOU stand on is Holy Ground because My Spirit goes everywhere you go? The atmosphere doesn’t change because of the quantity of temples in one building, but how well each of those temples are hosting Me.
There is nothing wrong with how you worship. The widow brought a quiet gift to the treasury with no fanfare and yet her gift was honored above those who, to the natural eye, gave much more. What she gave came from a heart surrendered to Me. I would rather your fully surrendered heart bowed low, singing quietly in humility, than for you to join the public display of worship for fear of not fitting the mold.
There IS NO mold. You do you in your walk with Me. I don’t want to walk with the version of you that you think I want to walk with. I want to walk with you. YOU. No practice. No pretense. No perfection. My precious, perfectly imperfect, wholehearted baby girl… that’s who I want to walk with.
Stop looking around you. If I say stand up, stand. If I tell you to sit, sit. If I say lift your hands, lift them high. If I say give me a shout, shout out loud. If I want you to dance, you won’t be able to stand still. If I tell you to bow down low, do that with your whole heart!
You being you LOVING Me is worship. Me being Me LOVING you is grace.
I LOVE you!
Daddy
