God is always speaking.
Do you hear Him?
Our Heavenly Father faithfully guides, encourages, and corrects me in my daily life. He speaks to me so tenderly through inward conversations that are journaled as letters. (Read the story behind how these letters started.)
These letters are not intended for me alone but are to be shared with my sisters in the body of Christ.
Romans 8 promises us that God speaks to each one of His children through the Holy Spirit bearing witness with our spirit. As you go through these letters, I pray that you will learn to recognize how God is speaking to you about your life throughout your day.

Eyes of Elisha
You’re thinking an awful lot about what I said when I mentioned praying for the eyes of Elisha. You’re forming a conviction about praying in that direction. Let’s talk about that.
Elisha prayed a really BOLD prayer when he prayed for a double portion. The prophet Elijah, his mentor whose shoes he would end up filling, saw some pretty incredible miracles. Read the story again. To do or see half of what Elijah did and saw would have been a lot - but that was not good enough for Elisha.

Your Testimony
I asked you to tell Me a story about your faithfulness and you went on a rabbit trail of definitions beginning with the word “faithful,” and now you’re sitting silently at your computer in tears. Tell Me about that.
I can’t.
You can’t what?
I can’t tell you a story about my faithfulness.
Why?
Because I’m not. After all this time and all You’ve done for me, I’m still not faithful. I want to be.
Am I Faithful?
Yes.
When have I been unfaithful?
Never. You have always been Faithful.
Little One, you’re made in My image. If I’m Faithful, wouldn’t it go to reason that you are Faithful, too?

Twisted Testimony
WELCOME TO THE ARENA!
I’m chuckling… not because what’s happening is funny but because the enemy thinks he’s gaining traction on your account and at the expense of your testimony. It’s time for you to start exercising one of your greatest assets: the ability to laugh in the face of opposition.
From this day forward, unless you bow to the authority of the enemy, you will face opposition. Expect it and fortify your soul so the adversary cannot make it past the gateway of your mind.

Hidden Resentments
Today was an absolute joy watching you care for your aunt with such kindness, gentleness, and patience. You asked Me a question before you went to pick her up. I didn’t answer right away because you weren’t ready.
You asked Me why you feel such internal conflict when you consider reaching out or offering to help your aunt or other family members in need. You were concerned that, somewhere deep inside, you had hidden resentments which had not been effectively resolved.

Fish on the Deck
Have a seat. Notice I’m asking you to SIT more than STAND these days. Every time I tell you to stand, your enthusiasm kicks in - you jump up and start running around doing everything you think I mean… when I simply said, “STAND.” You obviously think you’ve got more skin in the game than you do. I’m not calling you to put on a cape and save the world. I’m calling you to put on the full armor, stand, and face the enemy so you will have a front row seat to watch the enemy’s defeat.

Don’t Sit Down
I asked you to describe what you are seeing three times now, and three times you have described the same thing to Me and stopped at the same point. Have you made note of what you are seeing?
Yes.
You’re laying in your bed with your eyes closed. Where are you taking notes?
On my phone.
Look at your phone. Where are your notes?
You grabbed your phone and laid it next to your head, but you didn’t write anything. When you hear Me speaking, get up and start writing.

Slow Down
Slow down. You’re in self-will.
Stop. Stop what you’re doing. Find a quiet corner to sit with Me.
You’re doing it again. You’re running against - in opposition to - the pace of grace. You’re striving. You’re straining. You’re operating out of self-will. You’ve been laying out your day before Me rather than waiting on Me, and I’ve let you. I’ve been curious how far ahead of Me you’d be willing to run.
